Selbst nach der Zombieapokalypse gibt es in PlayStation-Spielen Trophäen, so auch in The Last of Us. Naughty Dog berücksichtigt dabei immer auch Collectible Items (Gegenstände, die man sammeln soll), doch in The Last of Us scheinen es besonders viele zu sein: es gibt unter anderem Artefakte, Pendants (Schmuckanhänger), Trainingshandbücher und Comicbücher. Die Liste der Trophäen bietet kaum Einblick in den Plot, aber es sind Charakter-Upgrades zu verdienen, Türen zu öffnen und Gegenstände herzustellen.
